How do I log into my Netgear Router?
Step 1: To get the login page of Netgear Router, do not skip this thing. First, make sure to connect the cables right. This configuration mostly affects the Wireless security feature. So, connect the cable to the Router and the other end into the LAN port of CPU. That’s enough for now.
Step 2: Power on the Router and wait until all lights stand still.
Step 3: Now open the ‘Network and Sharing Center’ and make sure to point the Default Gateway IPv4 of Ethernet adapter to 192.168.1.1.
Step 4: In this step, open the web browser and type http://routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1. If it shows, ‘Router login page cannot be displayed or is blank’ error, do refer the Step 3 once again.
Step 5: Once you asked to enter the login credentials enter username as admin and password as the password. You can refer these details at the back of the router.
Step 6: You will be greeted with a blue Smart Wizard dashboard. Here you can change whatever the details you would like to modify like SSID name, Admin password, Wifi security key, etc.
